Arches National Park is one park that I haven’t had the chance to visit yet—but it’s definitely on my list. The unique rock formations make it one of the most iconic national parks in the United States.
Acadia National Park was the first national park that my son ever visited. When he was just six months old, we took a family trip to Bar Harbor, Maine to explore the park together.
My husband and I love visiting national parks on vacation. Hiking new trails, exploring beautiful landscapes, and experiencing nature together has become one of our favorite traditions. Some of our favorite parks we’ve visited include Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Dry Tortugas National Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park. Each park has its own unique beauty, from geysers and mountains to crystal-clear water and wildlife.
Are you wanting to make a temperature crochet project, but are overwhelmed by the size and time commitment of a blanket? I made a temperature blanket in 2021 (it was a corner to corner blanket, you can find the pattern here) but didn’t want to make another huge blanket since it was a large time commitment and took up too much of my couch. So I was looking for a new idea that was a little bit more manageable. That is when I decided a jellyfish would be perfect.
When I was on maternity leave, I would occasionally go to Joann or Michaels and walk around when my husband was home just to get out of the house for a little bit. On one of these trips, there was a discount on yarn at Joann. Because of the discount, I decided to pick up a cake of Lion Brand Cover Story yarn. I have seen this yarn several times in the past and thought it might be a good yarn to try while I was on leave.
It seems everyone is talking about ChatGPT these days. My husband wanted to see if it could make a crochet pattern. I had very low expectations that it work, but thought it would be a fun experiment!
Some of the best projects to learn how to crochet are pot holders and scrubbies. That is because you can try different stitches without committing to a large project. You can also see the results very quickly since they are small projects. Finally, you can never have enough pot holders and scrubbies. I mean I’m always looking for more pot holders!
I recently saw a flashback picture on Facebook that my cousin’s wife posted back in February 2020 of my little cousin wearing a Pat Mahomes hat that I made for my aunt. As I was thinking about how cute he was back then I started to think to myself “what else can I make that will use the cute little curl?” And of course, the first thing I could think of was a pig with a curly tail!
So I am going to write that stereotypical blog post this year trying to encourage everyone to be the best version of themselves this year. However, my post is going to be a little different. I’m not going to tell you my foolproof method of sticking to your new year’s resolutions (because I for one do not know the secret!). I’m also not going to tell you what to do because to be honest, I find those types of posts annoying. What I am going to do is to encourage you to make 2023 the year you learn how to do something new!
So I have been a little slacking recently, but today I took a vacation day from my 9 to 5 job and decided that I would get caught up on some CraftEaze projects. This is the final post for the 50 state blanket. This blanket was really my most ambitious project ever. I had to develop patterns for all 50 states (really 49 patterns since Colorado and Wyoming are the same pattern). This post goes over the states of Virginia to Wyoming. In my opinion, this is one of the most unique shaped grouping of states in the entire blanket.
