National Park Blanket Crochet Pattern – Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park was the first national park in the United States, established all the way back in 1872. My husband and I visited a few years ago, and it was an unforgettable trip.

National Park Blanket Crochet Pattern – Saguaro National Park

Saguaro National Park is best known for its iconic saguaro cacti. These are the classic cacti most people picture when they hear the word “cactus,” with their tall arms reaching up toward the sky. When designing this crochet block, I knew I had to feature a saguaro cactus set in front of a mountain landscape to capture the essence of the park.

National Park Blanket Crochet Pattern – Mesa Verde National Park

During our trip to Colorado, my family visited Mesa Verde National Park. This park stood out because it felt more like a historical site compared to the other national parks we visited. Mesa Verde means “green table” in Spanish, which is a very fitting description. The park sits on a plateau covered in vegetation—hence the name.

Sometimes when I have a bad day, I find myself looking up Alaskan cruises that visit national parks. Did you know there are trips where you can cruise and even take a train to explore several parks? One of the parks I’m most interested in visiting is Kenai Fjords National Park.

I love that these massive fjords were created by glacier flow. It’s amazing how much the landscape can be shaped by something as simple as ice over time. It’s also incredible that this area is home to one of the largest icefields in the United States.

I hope that one day I’ll be able to see the wildlife—like orcas and puffins—and experience this unique landscape in person.

National Park Crochet Blanket – Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park

My son is currently obsessed with volcanoes, so Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park has quickly become one of our favorite places to explore—at least virtually! One of our favorite activities lately has been visiting the park’s Facebook page to view photos and watch videos of volcanic eruptions.

National Park Crochet Blanket – Grand Tetons National Park

Grand Teton National Park is one of my favorite sections of this blanket because it represents one of my favorite national parks. The Teton Mountains are absolutely gorgeous and make this park unforgettable.

National Park Crochet Blanket Pattern – Dry Tortugas National Park

Dry Tortugas National Park is truly one of a kind. My husband and I visited in November 2021, and it was an unforgettable trip—even more so because it was nearly 80 degrees there while we had snow flurries back home.

National Park Baby Blanket – Crater Lake National Park

Crater Lake National Park is one of the prettiest parks—at least in my mom’s opinion! I haven’t had the chance to visit yet, but it’s high on my list.

National Park Baby Blanket – Arches National Park

Arches National Park is one park that I haven’t had the chance to visit yet—but it’s definitely on my list. The unique rock formations make it one of the most iconic national parks in the United States.
