So I am at the point of my life where it seems like everyone I know is having a baby. This is a great thing because my favorite thing to make is baby blankets! Baby blankets have always been one of my favorite projects. I love how they typically have a pattern that repeats, but they are also fairly quick projects because they aren’t as big as an afghan or throw. I also love that I can typically use a lot of bright and fun colors!
50 State Blanket Part 6 – Massachusetts to Missouri
This part contains the states of Massachusetts to Missouri. It is so hard to believe that after this post we will be halfway through the 50 states. I was very excited for the particular part because I am from Missouri and I have made a couple of Missouri throw pillows for myself and for silent auction items for my mom. I am also pleasantly surprised how will Massachusetts turned out because it is such an unique shaped state.
50 States Blanket Part 5 – Kansas to Maryland
This is part 5 of the 50 state blanket. Part 5 consists of the states of Kansas to Maryland. Maryland was one of the states that I was worried wouldn’t really look like the state, but you can really see the details in the pattern. Kentucky is one of my favorite color combinations.
50 States Blanket Part 4 – Hawaii to Iowa
This is part 4 of the 50 state blanket. Part 4 contains the instructions for the states of Hawaii to Iowa. I love my Hawaii block because I made an inverted sunset. The background was different shades of orange while the Hawaii islands were ocean blue. I also was a huge fan of how the state of Idaho turned out.
50 States Blanket Part 3 – Colorado to Georgia
This is part 3 of the 50 States Blanket. Please see Part 1 for information regarding materials needed and Part 2 for Alabama to California.
This post is for the states from Colorado to Georgia. I love how my Florida turned out! I used colors that kind of reminded me of Miami Vice.
50 States Blanket Part 2 – Alabama to California
This is the first 5 states for the 50 state blanket. I decided to make my blanket in alphabetical order, that way I didn’t miss a state. So the first five states are Alabama to California.
50 States Blanket Pattern – Part 1
itially made a few throw pillows for some silent auctions and orders, but I really only tested the states of Ohio, Missouri, and Louisana. So when I was furloughed from my job in 2020 due to the pandemic, I got bored and decided to try every state chart.
Rocky Plushie Crochet Pattern
My husband and I like to listen to audiobooks when we have long drives. We like to pick books that will be interesting to both of us. This year for our drive to and from Missouri we listened to Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. listen to audiobooks when we have long drives. Corner 2 Corner Temperature Blanket
On December 31, 2020, I decided that 2021 was going to be the year that I would attempt a temperature blanket. Little did I know that 2021 was going to be a crazy year for my husband and me. We had many ups and downs this year, but I am proud of myself for finishing it.
My First Arm Knitting Experience
I recently jumped on the arm knitting train. I was scrolling on Pinterest last weekend and I kept seeing these beautiful bulk yarn blankets that said they were arm knitted. So I decided I might as well try it out.
