This is part 8 of the 50 state blanket. This section contains the state where I currently live, Ohio. I really like how the state of New York turned out. It really shows off the lakes on the northern border and Long Island doesn’t look out of place.
The previous parts can be found below:

- Part 3 – Colorado to Georgia

This is part 8 of the 50 state blanket. Part 8 consists of the states of New Mexico to Ohio. So my husband and I are trying to get caught up on the latest season of Better Call Saul which is only fitting since this post contains New Mexico. My husband also attended the University of Cincinnati so he thought it was fitting to make the state of Ohio using black and red.
So remember if you are making the 50 states blanket, you will see an H-8 (5 mm) crochet hook and weight 4 yarn. I loved that I ate up some yarn in my yarn stash for this project. If you are impatient and want all of the charts now, you can find the complete pattern in our Etsy shop (which is a pdf and can easily be printed) or in the CraftEaze – The American Experience in Throw Pillows book on Amazon.
