It’s finally Friday. I know that all the days are starting to blur together at this point, but it’s finally FRIDAY! A few months ago, Fridays were awesome. My husband and I would go out for dinner on Friday nights. Sometimes we would try a new brewery for dinner, other times we would get dinner at one of our favorite bars (Shout out to our favorites Jerzees, Roosters, and Winking Lizard). Now life is a little different because we can’t go out. But we can make the most out of this weird situation by having Zoom happy hours with our friends and families. This is my perfect playlist for a Zoom (or Facetime) happy hour. It is also a great playlist for hanging out in your back yard. It is mostly country and throwback pop hits from the early 2000s.
Hole in the Bottle – Kelsea Ballerini
So as you probably know the three cornerstones of CraftEaze are crafts, Netflix, and wine. This song is the perfect CraftEaze song because it tells the story of a female protagonist who is wondering where the wine is going since the bottle keeps going empty for some reason. It is one of my favorite songs right now and my husband even says every time it comes on the radio “here is your song”. I feel this is so many people’s quarantine theme song at this point.
Back Porch Vacation – Mark Leach
Maybe your summer vacation has been cancelled. Maybe you are spending a lot of time hanging out in your backyard. This song is the perfect “backyard vacation” song.
Champagne Nights – Lady Antebellum
This was the song that Lady Antebellum picked on the show “Songland”. My husband stumbled on to this show on Hulu and Lady A was the first artist of the new season. Its a really cool show, be sure to check it out on Hulu or NBC. I love this song. It is the perfect song for Summer 2020. The video is pretty cool because it is basically a bunch of people having a virtual happy hour. It is so catchy and let’s be honest, a lot of us are drinking beer on a Champagne kinda night these days.
Hard to Forget – Sam Hunt
Now this is on my list because of my husband. This is one of his favorite songs right now. It has a fun groove.
Far Away – Nickelback
So I know everyone loves to hate on Nickelback, but this song is kinda fitting with our friends and family being so far away. The lyrics “I miss you, Been far away for far too long, I keep dreaming you’ll be with me” is so relatable right now because we may not have seen our friends in a long time.
Drinkin’ Claws – Mark Leach and Hey Monea
Maybe you are a fan of the White Claw (or other seltzers). IF so this song is perfect for you because as you may know “There ain’t no laws when your drinking claws.”
Home – Phillip Phillips
I liked this song when it came out many years ago. It has a fun beat and some of the lyrics hit a little closer to home right now.
Bye Bye Bye – *Nsync
Towards the end of the happy hour, you and your girlfriends maybe up to attempting the Bye Bye Bye dance in your kitchen. It is the perfect upbeat song and almost everyone between the ages of 25-35 can do the dance.
22 – Taylor Swift
No playlist is complete until it contains some Taylor Swift. 22 is a great song for this playlist. It has a fun beat. Also it feels like one of those nights!
Bathroom Floor – Maddie and Tae
This Maddie and Tae song is the perfect song about getting over a breakup and hanging out with your girlfriends. The melody is so much fun and the song is pretty catchy.
One Margarita – Luke Bryan
There have been so many great songs being released right now on country radio. This is another great new song. The video is on a beach which you can imagine drinking a margarita by the ocean. This song is a lot of fun.
If Love Had a Heart – Rose Falcon
This is one of my favorite songs. I first heard it on Hart of Dixie. It is a slow song, but has a very catchy chorus.
