My son is currently obsessed with volcanoes, so Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park has quickly become one of our favorite places to explore—at least virtually! One of our favorite activities lately has been visiting the park’s Facebook page to view photos and watch videos of volcanic eruptions.

One day, I hope we can take a family trip to Hawaii and experience this incredible national park in person so we can see the volcanoes in action.

This crochet block features an erupting volcano. The ground is black, representing obsidian, and creates a bold contrast with the bright red lava.

Materials

For this block, you will use the dark blue, black, and red yarn. Please visit the first blog post introducing this pattern for instruction on how to do corner-to-corner. You can also purchase a printer-friendly pattern with all 12 blocks on Etsy.
