So my husband and I went on vacation recently, and since getting back I have been a little lazy. However, it is time to get back to the 50-state blanket, especially since there are only 10 states left. This post contains the patterns for the states of South Dakota to Vermont. I really like how the state of Texas turned out. I am always a little nervous when it comes to the larger states (like Texas, Alaska, New York, and Florida) that have a very distinct shape because they are so recognizable. But in my opinion, Texas looks just like how the state looks on the map.
So remember if you are making the 50 states blanket, you will see an H-8 (5 mm) crochet hook and weight 4 yarn. I loved that I ate up some yarn in my yarn stash for this project. I used a lot of Caron Simply Soft yarn, Lion Brand Heartland yarn, and Red Heart yarn. If you are impatient and want all of the charts now, you can find the complete pattern in our Etsy shop (which is a pdf and can easily be printed) or in the CraftEaze – The American Experience in Throw Pillows book on Amazon.
