This part contains the states of Massachusetts to Missouri. It is so hard to believe that after this post we will be halfway through the 50 states. I was very excited for the particular part because I am from Missouri and I have made a couple of Missouri throw pillows for myself and for silent auction items for my mom. I am also pleasantly surprised how will Massachusetts turned out because it is such an unique shaped state. When I was working my way through the states, this is the point my husband got extremely interested in what I was doing. This is very evident by the color choice for Michigan. My husband being like almost any good Ohio boy, decided that I need to make Michigan scarlet and gray.

Michaels Knitting & Crochet

So remember if you are making the 50 states blanket, you will see an H-8 (5 mm) crochet hook and weight 4 yarn. I loved that I ate up some yarn in my yarn stash for this project. If you are impatient and want all of the charts now, you can find the complete pattern in our Etsy shop (which is a pdf and can easily be printed).

CraftEaze Book
You can find the CraftEaze book on Amazon. This book contains every states pattern along with some other fun patterns.

You can also use these charts to make anything you want in addition to the blanket. I have made throw pillows from these charts. The instructions I am going to have below are single crochet graphgan, but you can also use the charts for corner to corner crochet.

Instructions for chart

Chain 41 loosely in background color.

Row 1: Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, 40 sc.  You will begin at the arrow.

Rows 2-40: Following the chart (on the next page) work sc in each sc.

Fasten off.
