{"id":434,"date":"2018-11-25T22:41:50","date_gmt":"2018-11-26T03:41:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecrafteaze.com\/blog\/?p=434"},"modified":"2018-11-25T22:41:50","modified_gmt":"2018-11-26T03:41:50","slug":"wine-advent-calendar-part-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecrafteaze.com\/blog\/2018\/11\/25\/wine-advent-calendar-part-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Wine Advent Calendar Part 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Disclosure: CraftEaze is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliate sites.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This is part 3 of our special wine Advent calendar.\u00a0 Since\u00a0I was unable to pick up an Advent wine calendar at\u00a0Aldi this year,\u00a0I decided to make my own wine Advent calendar.\u00a0 For part 3, we will go over the wines from December 11 to December 17.\u00a0 If you would like to get caught up, you can read the following posts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/thecrafteaze.com\/blog\/2018\/11\/07\/advent-wine-calendar-disappointment\/\">Advent Wine Calendar Part 1<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/thecrafteaze.com\/blog\/2018\/11\/14\/wine-advent-calendar-part-2\/\">Wine Advent Calendar Part 2<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is a few days late because Thanksgiving was super crazy.\u00a0But on a side note, I was able to say yes to my wedding dress and finished a portion of the save the dates because my mom was in town!!\u00a0 Since the third week of Advent is the pink candle on the Advent wreath, this week will feature 3 ros\u00e9 wines, 2 white wines, and 2 red wines.<\/p>\n<h4>December 11 &#8211; Prophecy Ros\u00e9<\/h4>\n<p>The Prophecy Ros\u00e9 was the subject of an <a href=\"https:\/\/thecrafteaze.com\/blog\/2018\/08\/29\/prophecy-rose-wine-review\/\">in-depth wine review<\/a> earlier this year.\u00a0 This rose is perfect for Saturday morning brunch or to drink while watching a Hallmark Christmas movie!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none;\" src=\"\/\/rcm-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/cm?o=1&amp;p=12&amp;l=ur1&amp;category=amazonprimeholidaymember&amp;banner=1HT04A6ARVRZYT878302&amp;f=ifr&amp;linkID=d7e42371b789cb2cb1854f415b799174&amp;t=crafteaze00-20&amp;tracking_id=crafteaze00-20\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4>December 12 &#8211; Crystal Creek Cellars Chardonnay<\/h4>\n<p>This chardonnay can be found at Aldi.\u00a0 This Chardonnay is from Washington state. It smells like granny smith apples and has notes of pear, oak, and vanilla. This wine would pair well with a chicken dinner.<\/p>\n<h4>December 13 &#8211; Ruzzare Lambrusco<\/h4>\n<p>This red wine is slightly carbonated and is a sweeter wine.\u00a0 This wine has a strawberry and cherry flavor.\u00a0 It would be perfect with a pasta meal, but it is easy enough to drink alone while watching a Hallmark movie. You can find this wine at Aldi.<\/p>\n<h4>December 14 &#8211;\u00a0Bridge Road Vineyards White Zinfandel<\/h4>\n<p>This is another ros\u00e9 that can be bought at Aldi.\u00a0 This White Zinfandel is from California.\u00a0 It is sold in 1.5-liter bottles, so its a pretty good deal. It is a sweeter wine that has a strawberry flavor.\u00a0 This wine would be a good table wine for a Christmas celebration\u00a0dinner with your friends.<\/p>\n<h4>December 15 &#8211; Landshut Riesling<\/h4>\n<p>This is a Riesling from Germany.\u00a0 It smells like honeysuckles and apples.\u00a0 The wine tastes like peach and apples (similar to other Rieslings). This wine would be perfect to serve with a fish dinner. It has notes of blueberry, black pepper, cherry, and licorice.\u00a0 This Zinfandel\u00a0has a fruity taste that finishes slightly\u00a0smokey.\u00a0 It would be perfect with a grilled steak.\u00a0 You can find this wine at Aldi.<\/p>\n<h4>December 17 &#8211;\u00a0La Rue C\u00f4tes de Provence Ros\u00e9<\/h4>\n<p>This ros\u00e9 is from France, but you can find it at Aldi. This wine is a dry wine, but it tastes like strawberries. It would be refreshing to drink after a hard day work while watching another Hallmark Christmas movie.<\/p>\n<p>What is your favorite Aldi wine?
