Please see <a href=\"https:\/\/thecrafteaze.com\/blog\/2022\/02\/09\/50-states-blanket-pattern-part-1\/\">Part 1<\/a> for information regarding materials needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So this pattern is for the first 5 states for the 50 state blanket. I decided to make my blanket in alphabetical order, that way I didn&#8217;t accidentally skip a state. The first 5 states are Alabama to California. I have to admit that I am personally very proud of how Alaska turned out. It is such a large state and has a very unique shape that I was worried would look wonky, but it is perfect!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So remember if you are making the 50 states blanket, you will see an H-8 (5 mm) crochet hook and weight 4 yarn. I loved that I ate up some yarn in my yarn stash for this project. If you are impatient and want all of the charts now, you can find the complete pattern in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/CraftEazePatterns\/listing\/1163443083\/50-state-blanket-crochet-pattern?utm_source=Copy&amp;utm_medium=ListingManager&amp;utm_campaign=Share&amp;utm_term=so.lmsm&amp;share_time=1644542292706\">Etsy shop<\/a> (which is a pdf and can easily be printed). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also use these charts to make anything you want in addition to the blanket. I have made throw pillows from these charts. The instructions I am going to have below are single crochet graphgan, but you can also use the charts for corner to corner crochet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<a color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Row 1: Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, 40 sc.&nbsp; You will begin at the arrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rows 2-40: Following the chart (on the next page) work sc in each
